1) How many locs come in one bundle?
-10 locs come in one bundle

2) How do I choose the quantity of bundles I would like to purchase?
-When you select your quantity at checkout, you are selecting the number of bundles you would like.
         For example:
If you select the quantity of 1 you will be placing an order for 2 bundle= 20 locs.
select the quantity of 6 you will be placing an order for 6 bundles=60 locs.

3) How do I purchase locs?
-You’d choose which length and size you are interested in. Then right below that you’d insert the quantity of bundles you’d like. Keeping in mind that 10 locs=1 bundle, 1 bundle=10locs.

 

4) What are the measurements of the loc extensions?(All locs are measured in centimeters)

 -xsmall - 0.2cm

 -Small Width - 0.4cm

 -medium Width - 0.6cm (Pencil Width)

 -SMedium Width - 0.8cm 

 -large Width - 1cm (Sharpie marker width)

 -XXL Width (WICKS) - 4cm

 

5)How many loc extensions will I need to complete a full head of locs?
-Please note that the thickness your natural hair plays a factor in how many locs you would require. These are the average amounts needed to give you a complete head of locs. All may not fit , depending again on the thickness

  Xsmall Width---15 to 25 Bundles (minimum 150-  maximum 250 locs)

  Small Width--9 to 14 Bundles (minimum 90- maximum 140 Locs)

  medium Width----8 to12 Bundles (minimum 80- maximum 120 Locs)

  Smedium width--7 to 10 Bundles(minimum 70- maximum 100 Locs)

  Large Width---7 to 10 Bundles (minimum 70- maximum 100 Locs)

  XXL Width ------ 1 bundle (minimum 5  - maximum 10 Locs)

 

6) My hair is shaved on the sides and back, how many locs will I need  for a complete head of locs?

 -For shaved hairstyles (mohawk/ undercut/ high top fade), these are the average amounts needed to give you a complete head of locs.

  xsmall width locs- 7-9 bundles (minimum 70- maximum 90 locs)

  Small width locs- 4-7 bundles (minimum 40- maximum 70 Locs)

  medium width locs- 4-6 bundles (minimum 40- maximum 60 Locs)
  sMedium locs- 3-5 bundles (minimum 30- maximum 50 Locs)
  Large locs- 3-4 bundles (minimum 30- maximum 40 Locs)

 

7) What lengths can you make the dreadlock extensions?

 -The dreadlock extensions can be made in different starting at 6” to 24”

 

8) How long does my natural hair have to be to install the loc extensions?

 -The loc extensions can be installed on any hair type. For a proper installation, you need a minimum of at least 3 inches of new growth.

 

9) How do you install loc extensions?
-There are many different methods to installing loc extensions. The best thing to do is to consult with a local loctician who specialize in installing loc extensions. Also, YouTube has some great tutorials on how to install loc extensions for those who would like to attempt to do them on their own .

10) Can I install the loc extensions to my existing locs?

 -You can add the loc extensions to your existing locs for more length.

 

11) I am not sure on how many loc extensions I would need to give me a full head of locs?
-I would encourage those who have finer hair to purchase the minimum amount suggested for the size you’d like. For those with thicker hair I ‘d order the suggested maximum amount according to the size you’re interested in.
 

12) What kind of hair do you use to make the loc extensions with?
-The locs are made from 100% afro kinky human bulk hair.

13) Can I change the color of the loc extensions?

 -Locs made in color virgin #1b can be bleached and dyed with no problem. Locs made in color #1, #2, #4, has been processed / dyed, and the color will be difficult to lift, or might not lift at all when bleached. But if your trying color them to a very vibrant color , I would recommend using #613 bulk hair and applying dye that way. Its elimates having to bleach the hair and it'll come out super bright .

 

14) Can the loc extension damage if I bleach them?

 -Even though the hair can be bleached / dyed, I wouldn't advise bleaching the extensions within the 3-6 months of receiving. Please be mindful that even though the extensions are made with human hair and crochet to resemble mature dreadlocs, the extensions are not mature internally for the first couple of months. It takes time for the extensions to mature internally,  just like natural starter locs. If the locs are bleached before they are internally matured, you might experience swelling of the extensions, frizzing, and the extensions might  require re tightening with a crochet needle.

If locs are damaged due to over processing, The chemicals in the bleach will break down the locs, eventually cause the locs to thin out, shed, and eventually break off. The same thing will happen to natural locs if processed to many times in short period, or not processed properly.

15) I have a certain color I'd like my locs to be, can you make the locs with the color I have in mind?
-Yes, I also custom make the loc extensions into any color or create a ombre tip in any color a customer desire. I prefer to make loc extensions with a color the customer desire, to avoid the customer from processing the locs themselves, or maybe damaging their extensions. Even though the locs are made with 100% Brazilian human hair, processing the hair to many times will shorten the longevity of the extensions.

16) How soon will I receive my locs after I've place my order?
-All custom orders will take 2weeks to fulfill , then 1 to 5 days shipping time. For all locs that are in stock they’re available for same day pick-up, same day shipping. Packages are expected to be delivered between 1 to 5 days.

 

17) Why does it take so long for me to receive my loc extensions?
-I am sorry that your order is taken longer than expected. Please Give me a call here 252 – 362- 1298 if you haven’t received your package. Please keep in mind that this is a one-man army, meaning I am only one person completing many orders. Please have some patience with me but do know I always do my best!
 

18) Can I wash and condition the loc extensions?
-Yes, you can wash and condition the loc extensions. The extensions are made with 100%  human hair, therefore the extensions will react to hair product just as your natural hair would. Please be mindful for the first couple of months the loc extensions will internally go through the budding stage just like natural grown starter locs, so for the first couple of months please do not aggressively wash the extensions! Do not pull, tug, yank on extensions while wet, this will  weaken the extensions.

19) Over time will the loc extensions look and feel real like they did when I first received them?
-Yes, with proper care, our extensions look even better as they age. The more you wash, condition, and moisturize the extensions, the more the locs will relax, feel, and flow like natural locs.

20) Would I be able to find handmade loc extensions in local beauty supply stores?

21) Does the loc extensions go through budding stage just like natural grown starter locs?

 -Yes, Please be mindful that even though the extensions are crochet to resemble mature dreadlocs, the extensions are not mature internally. It takes time for the extensions to mature internally just like natural starter locs. For the first couple of months please do not aggressively wash the extensions! Do not pull, tug, yank on extensions while wet, this may weaken the extensions over time.

 

22) How long does it take to prepare and ship my order?

 -Order quantity upon checkout, processing period can be 1 to 7days after order date. Most orders ships out between 1 to 3 days but for orders that need to be customized then orders may take a little longer.

 Shipping time after processing will vary based on your shipping method chosen upon order checkout.

 

23) Upon checkout can I choose overnight shipping to receive my locs next day?

 -Expedite shipping does not expedite the processing period for the locs to be made.

 

24) How can I soften up my loc extensions?

 -It would actually help if you pre washed the extensions with shampoo and conditioner prior to installation .The loc extensions will eventually relax and soften up as you continue to moisturize them using megalodons leave in hydrating mist + megalodons  nourishing loc oil.

The extensions are crocheted tightly to ensure longevity, and to withstand being color processed if customer desires to bleach/dye at a later time.

 

25) Can I exchange my order if I ordered the wrong width loc extensions?

 -Orders can not be returned in exchange for different widths/length, or for coloring

I don’t offer refunds or exchanges for some of the following reasons

*would require me to order more hair to remake your new order.
* Additional time required to hand make your new order.
* Products used to bleach & color your new set of locs.
*Shipping fee to reship

 

26) Can I bleach loc extensions that are already made in light colors

 -Although all of our loc extensions can be bleached & colored,  we do not recommend bleaching extensions that are made with lighter colors. The light color hair has already been processed to get to the color it is, and you do not want to risk compromising the extensions by bleaching.

International Shipping

Once your locs are completed and shipped, International shipping may take anywhere between 1-3 weeks for delivery. Orders will be shipped to the address selected during checkout. Please verify the correct address in advance.
